Terms of service

A. DASH CAMERAS

1. I understand that if I am getting my windshield tinted and I have a dash camera adhered to my windshield with double sided tape, glue or any other type of adhesive, I will remove it or have it removed if possible.

2. I understand that if I am unable to remove my dash camera and it is adhered to the glass with double sided tape, TimTom will remove it but will not re-install it.

B. CONTAMINATION

1. I understand that hair, creases, fibers or insects caught between the film and glass are an automatic re-do on all glass with the exception of glass containing defroster lines. Glass containing defrosters with creases, hair, fibers or insects caught between the glass and film WILL receive a refund of the film cost only.

2. We will not honor a re-do for specks of dust or dirt unless the specks of dust/dirt are grouped into an area equal to or larger than a quarter or a single speck larger than a pea.

C. MOBILE TINTING (AUTO)

1. I understand that the Job site must be within 20 miles of our business location.

2. I understand that the cost for mobile services is $35.00 per visit. Mobile fee will not be charged for re-dos. 
Example 1: Customer has 3 vehicles to be tinted and schedules two separate appointments on two different days. Customer will be charged the $35.00 mobile fee per visit. 
Example 2: Customer schedules 3 vehicles for the same day. Customer will only pay $35.00.

3. I understand that the vehicle must be parked inside a garage or covered driveway with at least two walls. All vehicle doors must be able to open at least 45 degrees.

4. I understand that the garage or covered driveway must have an electrical outlet at least 25’ away from the vehicle

D. TINT REMOVAL

1. I understand that if I remove old window film, I must ensure that ALL adhesive and film has been removed from the glass. Any adhesive left on any piece of glass will compromise the new film. A cleaning fee of $12.00/doors & quarter glass windows. $65.00/Rear hatch will be added to the price if old adhesive and film needs to be removed.

2. I understand that removal of film from glass equipped with defrosters could potentially render the system inoperable and that this condition is no fault of the installer. It is highly recommended that I replace my window(s) equipped with defrosters and have the new glass tinted.

3. As of 01JAN25 TimTom Film Solutions will no longer complete removals on any sedan rear glass equipped with defrosters.

E. RE-WORK (RE-DO)

1. I understand that I have 30 days after film installation to schedule a free re-do on any window not equipped with defrosters. After the 30th day I will pay full price for removal and installation.

2. I understand that I CAN NOT schedule a re-do for any glass equipped with defrosters. If a glass equipped with defrosters has any of the following deformities: air bubbles grouped together in an area larger than a quarter, crease’s, any single air bubble larger than a pea or any fingers longer than 1/4”, I will receive a refund for the film cost only.

3. I understand that specks of dust/dirt are mitigated but unavoidable. I am entitled to 1 re-do as long as the re-do is scheduled within 30 days of installation and is not a glass equipped with defrosters. I understand that the new piece of film may also have speck(s) of dust/dirt and that I can request a refund for the film cost only within 30 days of installation.

4. I understand that a re-do will be honored for: fingers longer than 1/4”, individual bubbles larger than a pea, crease’s, groups of bubbles larger than a quarter or any peeling as long as the re-do is scheduled before the 30th day after installation and is NOT a piece of glass equipped with defrosters.

F. CHILD SAFETY SEATS

1. I understand that my child safety seats may be removed in order to gain access to rear quarter windows and rear glass. Due to liability issues TimTom will not re-install these seats.

G. DOT MATRIX

1. I understand that film may not stick to my vehicles dot matrix causing “silvering” along the border of the glass or patches of silvering in the larger sections of dot matrix usually at the top of windshields and rear glass. This commonly occurs on: BMW, Toyota

2. TimTom Film Solutions will not sand down raised dot matrix. We will use DOTRIX with approval from the customer.

H. CURING

1. I understand that I must allow a minimum of 7 days for my film to cure. I will not roll my windows down for 3 days. Rolling my windows down prematurely will cause my film to shift out of place. Film may take longer to cure if the vehicle is garage kept, or the ambient temperature is lower than 60 degrees F. In these case’s, please double the cure time to 14 days.

I. WINDSHIELD TINT

1. I understand that it is illegal in the state of California to operate a vehicle on public roadways with a fully tinted windshield without a medical exemption.

2. I understand that I will not receive a refund from TimTomFS if I am ordered by a law enforcement official to remove my windshield tint due to expired/false or nonexistent medical exemption, even if the infraction occurs on the same day of installation.

3. I understand that I will pay full price for a windshield film removal if I choose to use TimTomFS’s removal services after a traffic violation. There is no discount on removals, due to a traffic violation, of film that we applied.

4. I understand that windshield strips can not go lower than my vehicles AS-1 line or 4” whichever comes first.

5. I understand that TimTomFS WILL NOT apply any film with a VLT% lower than 50% to my windshield. 3%, 5%, 15%, 20% & 35% are off limits for windshields. This is company policy and has no affiliation with CA state law.

J. NO CALL/NO SHOW

1.Customers will have an automatic 15-minute grace period, after 15 minutes the appointment will be canceled. The customer can schedule another appointment if desired.

2.If you are running late, please call (619)-706-0070 and give us an ETA, we will accommodate you as best as possible as long as you are communicating.

K. UVU/IR COATING

1. Some Toyota and Lexus vehicles are equipped with UVU/IR coating on the windows. This can be determined by the stamp in the bottom left corner of the driver window. Tint Jobs on these vehicles are final; no re-do’s will be honored. A refund may be granted if a window contains any of the contamination outlined in B.1&2.

J. REFUNDS

1. Labor costs, cleaning fees and mobile fee’s will never be refunded. Refunds will consist of the film cost only.

2. Please allow us 3-5 days to process your refund. Refund will never be in cash. Film cost will be refunded through: Venmo or Cashapp.

L. CLEANING FEE

1. Vehicles 20 years or older will incur an automatic cleaning fee: $12.00 (front doors, rear doors, front quarters, rear quarters, sunroof). $65.00 (windshield, rear glass, panoramic roof) Ex. The year is 2024, a 2004 BMW 530i would have a cleaning fee of $137.00.

2. Cleaning fee is waived for customers receiving a “strip & re-tint”

M. DONATE & SAVE

1.  Donation to Autism Speaks can be made at any time during the year however the appointment must take place during the month of April.

2.  The minimum donation amount to qualify for the 30% discount is $5.00
